Dr. Mei Lan Fang is an Assistant Professor in the Urban Studies program and Department of Gerontology at Simon Fraser University. She also serves as Undergraduate Chair for the BA in Urban Worlds program and holds a Visiting Scholar position at the University of Dundee's School of Health Sciences. Her work focuses on ageing well in place, inclusive digital placemaking, and critical public health equity.

Research Focus: Transdisciplinary, community-engaged methodologies including narrative co-creation, story mapping, and integrated knowledge translation. Current projects address intergenerational age-friendly ecosystems through ESRC-funded research (£1.7M) exploring inclusive urban spaces for marginalized older adults using ArcGIS Story-mapping and social network analysis.
