About
Prof. Mehul Bhatt is a Visiting Professor in the Department of Neurocognitive and Experimental Psychology. He leads research on the Neural Dynamics of Visual Cognition, focusing on how the brain processes visual information from infancy to adulthood. His current work is supported by an ERC Consolidator Grant for the TRANSFORM project, investigating the transformation of photons into meaning across developmental stages.
Research interests include neural mechanisms underlying visual perception, developmental neuroscience, and cognitive psychology. The Learning Lab Research group collaborates on these topics, involving interdisciplinary approaches to understand visual system maturation and cognitive processes.
Prof. Bhatt advises multiple PhD students, including Monika Graumann, Polina Iamschchinina, and visiting scholars like Kshitij Sanjeev. His lab is located at Habelschwerdter Allee 45, Room JK 25/230.
