Dr. Megan Talbot is Lecturer in Law at Aberystwyth University's Department of Law and Criminology, where she teaches modules including Legal and Criminal Justice Systems, Medical Law and Ethics, Family Law, and AI, Law and Technology. She serves as Equality Champion for the department, convener of the Interdisciplinary Gender Studies Research Group (Aber Gender), and departmental disability and wellbeing coordinator. Her research examines legal recognition of non-binary gender identities, LGBT experiences in legal systems, and AI's impact on equality frameworks.
Talbot's interdisciplinary research combines legal analysis with gender studies and technology ethics. Her Ph.D. dissertation conducted a comparative examination of legal recognition methods for non-binary and intersex identities. Current projects investigate algorithmic bias in legal systems and equitable AI governance.
