Megan Cook is the Arthur Jeremiah Roberts Associate Professor of Literature and Co-Chair of the English Department at Colby College. She specializes in medieval and early modern literature, with a focus on Chaucer and textual scholarship.

Her research examines the reception of Middle English texts in early modern England, combining intellectual history with material book studies. She explores how antiquarians shaped literary history through their scholarship on Chaucer and medieval poetry. Current projects include a study of vernacular language change and its political implications in late medieval and early modern England.
Megan's editorial work includes co-editing John Lydgate’s Dance of Death (2019) and Chaucer’s Legend of Good Women for Cambridge University Press. She has published in Spenser Studies, Chaucer Review, and other venues on topics like heraldry, miscellanies, and pre-photographic artifact representation.
