Megan Boler

Megan Boler is a Full Professor in the Department of Social Justice Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. She holds affiliate faculty positions at Innis College, the Center for the Study of the United States, Cinema Studies, and the Institute for Women’s and Gender Studies at the same institution.

• Research focuses on affect, algorithms, and the psychology of micro-targeting in digital propaganda.
• Current projects include studying emotional expression in social media during elections and developing digital tools against 2SLGBTQI+ hate.
