Megan Beshirs

Megan Beshirs is an Affiliate Instructor in the Chemistry department at the University of Dallas, holding a dual role as lab coordinator. She earned her B.S. in Chemistry from Southeastern Oklahoma State University and an M.S. in Chemistry from Oklahoma State University, with research focused on X-ray crystallography and viral proteins. She later studied biochemistry at Louisiana State University's Health Sciences Center before transitioning to teaching. Her professional experience includes environmental contracting for the EPA, lab coordination at her alma mater, and teaching roles at community colleges and Xavier University in New Orleans.

Professor Beshirs teaches labs for courses including Basic Ideas (for non-majors), General Chemistry I/II, Environmental Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. Her expertise spans chemical education, practical laboratory instruction, and interdisciplinary applications of chemistry. As lab coordinator, she oversees laboratory operations and safety protocols for the Chemistry department.
