Dr. Meenu Sharma is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Medical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. She is also a Research Scientist at the National Reference Centre for Mycobacteriology (NRCM) under the Public Health Agency of Canada's National Microbiology Laboratory. Her research focuses on mycobacterial pathogenicity, TB detection in northern Canada, antibiotic resistance mechanisms, and immune response interactions with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Dr. Sharma develops novel diagnostic methods and uses whole-genome sequencing to analyze mycobacterial species.
