Dr. Md Rashad Islam is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Colorado State University Pueblo. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of New Mexico and an M.S. from the University of Minho (Portugal) and Technical University of Catalonia (Spain). His expertise spans pavement materials, transportation engineering, and material science, with a focus on asphalt concrete properties, pavement design, and fatigue analysis. Dr. Islam is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) and serves as an ABET Program Evaluator, contributing to academic accreditation standards. He has authored multiple textbooks, including Engineering Dynamics: Fundamentals and Applications (CRC Press, 2022) and Civil Engineering Materials: Introduction and Laboratory Testing (CRC Press, 2020). His research addresses sustainable infrastructure solutions, recycled materials, and pavement performance under dynamic loads.
