Dr. Md Mahmudul Hasan is a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Arkansas State University's College of Engineering (CoE). He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University (2022), and degrees from the University of Dhaka, including two master's and a bachelor's in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. His research focuses on machine learning applications in power systems, renewable energy integration, and smart grid resiliency. He has contributed to NSF-funded projects enhancing smart grid reliability and has industry experience as an R&D engineer at X-Fab.
Teaching specialties include Power Electronics, Renewable Systems, and Semiconductor Materials. He is an active member of IEEE, PES, and PELS. His academic journey includes instructing physics courses at Texas Tech University. Dr. Hasan emphasizes diversity and collaborative learning environments for students.
