Dr. Kazi Hasan is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Engineering at RMIT University, specializing in Electrical Power and Energy Systems Engineering. He is the lead for the Transport Electrification theme within Energy@RMIT and serves as Vice Chair of IEEE PES Victorian Chapter. His research focuses on integrating renewable energy, EVs, and smart grid technologies into power systems, emphasizing system dynamics, reliability, and economy.
Dr. Hasan holds a Postdoctoral Research Associate position from the University of Manchester (2014–2018) and was involved in the EU-funded CROSSBOW project. He has extensive teaching experience, designing and delivering courses like Smart Grids at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels since 2022. His work spans over 90+ journal/conference papers and 40+ international presentations.
Research interests include power system dynamics, renewable energy integration, EV infrastructure, and probabilistic stability analysis. He collaborates with industry partners and has supervised numerous research topics in energy systems and grid modernization.
