Mauro Ferrari is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutics at the University of Washington, joining in 2019. Previously, he served as tenured professor in engineering and/or medicine at institutions including the University of Texas, University of California Berkeley, Ohio State University, and Weill Cornell Medicine. He led the Houston Methodist Research Institute as President & CEO and held leadership roles at the European Research Council.
