Matthias Dobbelstein

Prof. Dr. Matthias Dobbelstein is Professor of Molecular Oncology and Head of the Department of Molecular Oncology at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen since 2005. His research examines cancer cell responses to chemotherapy, focusing on DNA replication stress, p53 signaling, and non-genotoxic drug candidates.

The lab studies molecular mechanisms of colorectal cancer therapy response using siRNA screening, fluorescence microscopy, and DNA replication analysis. Current work evaluates histone deacetylase and heat shock protein inhibitors alongside traditional chemotherapeutics.
