Matthias Adrian is a researcher at the School of Catholic Theology, Free University of Berlin, since 2014, and a lecturer in Catholic Religious Education in the Archdiocese of Berlin since 2010-2013. He obtained his diploma in Catholic theology from Münster and Fribourg/Switzerland, earned a licentiate in Diaconal Ministry, and completed his doctoral scholarship under the Cusanuswerk Episcopal Study Fund (2007-2010). In 2017, he received his doctorate from the University of Bonn under Prof. Dr. Martin Ebner and is currently a Habilitand at Augsburg University under Prof. Dr. Stefan Schreiber, working on "Jesustradition in Korinth" (project title).
- Research Interests: New Testament, Luke-Acts, Pauline theology, Jewish-Christian relations, Philo of Alexandria, ancient rhetoric, biblical ethics, and historical theology.
- He has published works on topics like Luke's Gospel, Paul's Epistle to the Romans, Philo's influence on early Christian thought, and critical analyses of biblical law in antisemitism studies.
