Matthew Perras

Dr. Matthew Perras is Associate Professor and Undergraduate Program Director in Civil Engineering at York University's Lassonde School of Engineering. His research investigates fracture mechanics in geological materials, particularly near-excavation damage and time-dependent rock behavior.

Education includes BSc Geological Engineering from Queen's University and PhD from Queen's University. Professional engineering experience includes work on major infrastructure projects.
