Matthew Edmonds serves as a Professional in Residence in the Interior Design Department at Louisiana State University's College of Art & Design since 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from LSU and maintains professional certifications including NCIDQ and LEED AP BD+C.

His professional experience spans roles at Gap Inc. and as co-owner of CDI Solutions, specializing in sustainable design strategies (LEED/WELL), 3D scanning, construction documentation, and facility evaluation. He has developed core curriculum courses like ID1780 (technical drafting fundamentals) and a sustainable design course focusing on LEED ID+C and WELL standards, graduating over 100 students with industry credentials.

Teaching focuses include construction systems, professional practice, and graphic communication in design processes. CDI Solutions currently employs 5 full-time LSU graduates and 1 intern, reflecting his commitment to student career development.

Research emphasizes integration of technology in design, including 360-degree panoramic capture and furniture prototyping. He actively mentors through LSU's internship program.
