Matthew Colm Kiernan is Scientia Professor of Neuroscience at UNSW Sydney and CEO of Neuroscience Research Australia. His clinical neurology research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), where he investigates cortical hyperexcitability mechanisms and neurophysiological biomarkers.
