Matteo Carpentieri

Dr. Matteo Carpentieri is an Associate Professor of Environmental Fluid Mechanics at the University of Surrey's School of Mechanical Engineering Sciences. His research focuses on urban fluid mechanics, particularly pollution dispersion in complex environments. He holds a PhD in Environmental Fluid Dynamics from the University of Florence, Italy, and has conducted postdoctoral research at the Environmental Flow Research Centre (EnFlo). His work combines wind tunnel experiments and numerical modelling to study urban airflow dynamics, atmospheric stratification effects, and nanoparticle dispersion from vehicles.
