Matt Zwiernik

Matt Zwiernik is a Retired Faculty member in the Department of Animal Science at Michigan State University (MSU). He previously held roles as Assistant Professor at the National Food Safety and Toxicology Center (College of Veterinary Medicine) and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Zoology (College of Natural Science). His expertise spans environmental toxicology, ecological risk assessment methodologies, and avian species studies.

Education: BS in Biology and Biochemistry (MSU, 1989); PhD in Environmental Toxicology (MSU).

Research focuses on contaminant identification, site-specific data analysis, toxicity reference values, and risk-based cleanup strategies.
