Matt Zaiger

Matt Zaiger serves as Assistant Professor of Engineering at George Fox University's College of Engineering, appointed in 2025. Prior to this academic role, he co-founded Flores & Zaiger Solutions LLC as Partner and Development Engineer (2023-2025), managing finances and developing laser engraving/ablation processes for aerospace clients. Earlier, he spent five years as Metrology Engineer at Rapid Matching Solutions in Wilsonville, Oregon, specializing in inspection procedures for precision aerospace components.

His educational foundation includes a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University (2019). Zaiger's expertise bridges industrial practice with academic instruction, focusing on design for manufacture, combustion systems, and quality inspection methodologies derived from direct aerospace manufacturing experience.

Outside academia, Zaiger resides in Newberg, Oregon with his wife and two children. As an active member of Saints' Hill Church, he pursues diverse hands-on hobbies including woodworking, blacksmithing, musical performance (piano and bass guitar), and outdoor activities like hiking, backpacking, and motorcycle camping.
