Matt Sharrock

Matt Sharrock (they/them) is an Assistant Professor at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, teaching core studies and composition, and a course author/facilitator for Berklee Online. As a performer, they are hailed as one of 'Boston’s best percussionists' (I Care if You Listen), with a focus on championing living composers through their duo Transient Canvas, which has commissioned over 90 works since 2011. Matt is a founding member of the Boston Percussion Group and Chameleon Arts Ensemble of Boston, and has performed with ensembles like the Grammy-winning Boston Modern Orchestra Project.

They hold an M.M. in Marimba Performance from The Boston Conservatory and a B.M. in Music Performance (Percussion) from Baldwin Wallace University. Matt endorses Marimba One and Encore Mallets.
