Mathieu Feagan

Mathieu Feagan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo, affiliated with the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability and cross-appointed to the Department of Geography and Environmental Management and the School of Environment, Enterprise and Development. His work bridges social theory, Indigenous epistemologies, and transdisciplinary approaches to urban resilience and environmental justice.

He leads and collaborates on grants such as the New Frontiers in Research Fund exploration grant and National Science Foundation RULA IRES projects, emphasizing decolonial frameworks and transdisciplinary learning.

Recent publications highlight co-producing knowledge systems for coastal cities, critical pedagogical designs for sustainability, and political ecology of health in extractive industries. His work integrates feminist theory, data visualization, and ecohealth methodologies to address climate justice and urban governance.
