Mathias Peter

Mathias Peter was a distinguished economic historian holding academic positions at the University of Oxford and Cambridge. As Chichele Professor of Economic History (1968-1987) and Master of Downing College, Oxford (1987-1995), he specialized in British economic history with a focus on industrialization and global economic relations.
