Mateus Oka is a Visiting Predoctoral Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (MPIWG) in the Department of Knowledge Systems and Collective Life and a doctoral student at the State University of Campinas (São Paulo, Brazil).

Projects and Research
Mateus is currently working on a research project exploring the relationships and knowledge production dynamics between scientists, non-human animals, and local human communities. He is also part of the "Metis – Arts and Semantics of Creation and Memory" research group, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP grants n. 22/03361-1 and n. 20/07886-8). His work bridges interdisciplinary approaches in the history of science, anthropology, and environmental studies.
