Mateo Gemma

Mateo Gemma is a Senior Scientist at the Department of Political Science, University of Salzburg. She leads the GEOTRADE project (2024-2029), funded by the European Research Council. Her research focuses on international relations, European integration, and interest group politics, with publications in journals like Comparative Political Studies and European Journal of Political Research. She holds a PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2004) and has held fellowships at the European University Institute and postdoctoral roles at Mannheim Centre for European Social Research and University College Dublin. She co-authored the book Insiders versus Outsiders: Interest Group Politics in Multilevel Europe (Oxford UP, 2016).
