Massimo Pinzani is a Professor of Medicine at University College London (UCL), holding the Sheila Sherlock Chair of Hepatology. He serves as Director of the UCL Institute for Liver and Digestive Health at the Royal Free Campus in London, United Kingdom. Prior to his current role, he was a Professor of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the University of Florence School of Medicine from 2000 to 2012.
- Research Interests: Hepatic stroma in liver cancer development, molecular mechanisms of hepatic and intestinal fibrogenesis, biomarker development for chronic liver diseases, and regenerative hepatology with tissue engineering.
