Mary Wuest

Mary Wuest is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Texas at San Antonio, affiliated with the College of Liberal and Fine Arts and the Department of Art and Art History. She holds an MFA (2019) and BFA (2016) from UTSA, and an AA from Northwest Vista College (2013).

Her artistic practice focuses on ceramics, using porcelain vessel forms as a metaphor for the human body to explore themes of power dynamics and identity. The vessel walls symbolize containment, reflecting how internal and external pressures shape form and content.
