Mary Ruthi

Mary Ruthi is Professor of Sociology and Department Chair at Huntington University. She joined the faculty in 1978 and teaches core courses in the Sociology Department, emphasizing how social forces shape personal experiences and broader societal structures.

• Education: Ph.D. and M.A. in Sociology from University of Nebraska-Lincoln
• Previous Experience: Taught at Sterling College

Her research focuses on social dynamics, cultural influences, and educational sociology. She maintains active memberships in the American Sociological Association, Midwest Sociological Society, and North Central Sociological Association.
