Marvin Marcelo

Marvin Marcelo serves as an Associate Professor at Washington State University's Edward R. Murrow College of Communication, teaching Advanced Television Production and advising the student-run television station Cable 8 Productions since 2006. He concurrently holds the position of general manager for Northwest Public Radio and Television, overseeing a state-wide radio network, two television market program services, and the student-run jazz station KJEM.

He earned his degree from San Jose State University and maintains professional credentials as a certified broadcast network technologist and member of the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE).

His research concentrates on cinematic production techniques for both large and small screens, with expanding focus on sports media production and e-sports development. Marcelo actively seeks to integrate students into emerging e-sports production fields, leveraging the college's technical infrastructure to establish industry footholds in this rapidly growing sector.
