Martin Walt is a Consulting Professor at Stanford University, affiliated since 1986. His research focuses on Space Plasma Physics, Geomagnetically Trapped Radiation, Aurora, and energetic particles in planetary magnetospheres. Previously, he worked at the Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory (1953-1956) and Lockheed Palo Alto Research Laboratory (1956-1992).
