About
Martin Scanlon is Professor of Medicinal Chemistry at Monash University and Director of the ARC Centre for Fragment-Based Design. His research employs fragment-based approaches and NMR spectroscopy to develop therapeutics targeting antimicrobial resistance.
He specializes in structural characterization of protein-ligand interactions and rational drug design. Scanlon leads the Monash Fragment Platform and teaches spectroscopic techniques for drug discovery. His work integrates biophysical methods including mass spectrometry and X-ray crystallography.
