His educational foundation includes a doctorate from the University of Leipzig's Institute for Exercise and Public Health. This academic background directly informs his research trajectory in health services and prevention science.
Lange's research program centers on prevention and health promotion across multiple domains, with particular emphasis on student health management, corporate health systems, and digital health interventions. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with practical applications, focusing on evidence-based strategies for health behavior change in organizational settings. The recurring theme across his scholarship is the evaluation of digital tools for health promotion and the development of sustainable health management systems.
Analysis of his 2019-2024 publications reveals three dominant research streams: workplace health promotion interventions (particularly for nurses and remote workers), digital health application evaluation, and health literacy studies among student populations. His methodological approach favors systematic reviews, cohort studies, and policy-oriented research, with increasing focus on pandemic-related health behavior changes and digital transformation challenges in occupational health.
Prof. Lange maintains active leadership in key professional organizations: serving as 1st Chairman of the Federal Association for Corporate Health Management (BBGM) since 2024, participating in the DNVF working group on exercise-related health services research, and advising the Institute for Corporate Health Promotion of AOK Rhineland/Hamburg. His prior service included a seven-year tenure (2012-2019) with the German Association for Health Sports and Sports Therapy (DVGS), demonstrating sustained commitment to advancing health promotion practice.
