Marta Kur

Marta Kur is a pianist and educator at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, where she holds the position of Lecturer. She earned her Doctor of Musical Arts in Instrumental Studies in 2018 under Prof. Waldemar Wojtal, following studies in piano with Prof. Grażyna Fiedoruk-Sienkiewicz. Her pedagogical expertise includes accompaniment, chamber music, and piano performance. Dr. Kur has received numerous accolades, including scholarships from the Ministry of Culture and Rector’s Office, and awards for exceptional accompaniment in national and international competitions. She is actively involved in musical performances as a soloist and chamber musician, participating in workshops led by renowned artists like the Moscow Trio and Prof. John O’Conor. Her research and teaching focus on piano techniques, collaborative artistry, and pedagogical methodologies in instrumental education.

Dr. Kur’s academic contributions include masterclasses in accompaniment and solo piano, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to music education. She has performed across Poland and internationally, blending classical repertoire with contemporary works.
