Marta Isabel Marcos Moreno

Marta Isabel Marcos Moreno is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Physics at the University of the Balearic Islands and researcher at the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Studies (IMEDEA), a UIB-CSIC joint center. She serves as IMEDEA deputy director and teaches undergraduate and master's physics courses since 2014, specializing in sea-level dynamics and geophysical fluid systems.

Her research focuses on sea level variability across time scales from high-frequency to century-long climate changes, addressing coastal impacts through physical oceanography and climate modeling. This work is conducted within IMEDEA's Physical Oceanography and Climate (OFC) research group and directly informs IPCC assessments.
