Marsha Rutland

Marsha Rutland is a Professor of Physical Therapy at Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) within the College of Health Professions. With over 25 years of teaching experience in HSU's Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program, she serves as Program Director and Professor for the Gould Anatomy Certification Program since its establishment in 2020.

Education:

• B.S. in Physical Therapy (1979), University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas
• M.Ed. in Education (2002), Hardin-Simmons University
• Sc.D. in Physical Therapy with Orthopedic emphasis (2008), Texas Tech University Health Science Center

Her research focuses on anatomy and orthopedic assessment/treatment, with 46 years of clinical expertise spanning outpatient orthopedic/neurologic rehab, home health, and acute rehab settings. She has presented research at major conferences including APTA-CSM, TPTA, AACA, and AAA.
