Marla R. Goins is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching and Learning at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). Her research focuses on transnational Black education, Afro-Latina/o education, Black feminism in the Global South, and culturally sustaining pedagogy. She employs qualitative methodologies to explore how marginalized Black communities develop resistant epistemologies and pedagogies in and outside schools.
