Associate Professor Dr. Markus Raasch is a historian at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, specializing in Contemporary History. His work spans social history, mentalities, nobility research, Catholicism, gender, and the history of National Socialism. He currently directs the DFG project Military Youth Education in the First World War and co-leads the research group Parents and Children in War.
