Prof. Dr. Markus Asper is a Professor of Greek Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin's Institute of Classical Philology since 2010. Previously, he held positions at Penn State University (2004-2007) and New York University (2007-2010). His academic career includes a doctorate from the University of Freiburg (1994), habilitation from Mainz (2003), and research roles in Konstanz and Mainz. His research focuses on Hellenistic poetry, Greek scientific literature, and the intersection of narrative and knowledge-making in antiquity.
