Mark Rimmer is an Associate Professor in Media Studies at the University of East Anglia, affiliated with the School of Art, Media and American Studies and the School of Film, Television and Media. He joined UEA in 2009 as a Lecturer and currently serves as Course Director for the BA Media Studies and Ethics Officer for the School.
His research focuses on media audiences, popular music, community and participatory arts, and cultural sociology. He explores music listening and experience through a trans-actional sociological lens, integrating pragmatist philosophy to understand media engagement.
