Mark Power

Mark Power is the Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and a Professor of Higher Education Leadership. He plays a central role in shaping the university's strategic direction, particularly through the development of Strategy 2030, which emphasizes personalized learning, real-world research, and deep regional partnerships.

His research interests focus on transformational leadership, evidence-based innovation, and social inclusion in higher education. He is particularly committed to advancing social mobility and building sustainable talent pipelines for regional employability.

Mark Power has received international recognition, including honorary professorships in China, and is active in regional and national leadership through roles in the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) and the John Moores Painting Prize.
