Mark P. Gingerich is the James S. Britton Professor of European History at Ohio Wesleyan University (OWU). He holds a B.A. from the University of Massachusetts and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Modern European History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His expertise spans the World Wars, Nazi racial policies, and post-1945 neo-Nazi movements in Germany. He has published extensively on these topics, including articles, book chapters, and encyclopedia entries.
Dr. Gingerich has received prestigious awards, including the 1997 Sherwood Dodge Shankland Award for Teaching and recognition as OWU's Faculty Member of the Year. He served as a Visiting Professor at Bilkent University in Turkey (2007) and as Associate Dean of Academic Advising (2010–2011).
