Mark Noyon is a Professor in the Department of Fisheries and Aquaculture at Vancouver Island University, where he has taught since 1994. He serves as Department Chair and Field Practicum Coordinator, maintaining strong connections with government and industry partners.
His research focuses on hydraulic and hydrological applications in aquaculture system design, fisheries habitat assessment, and stream restoration. He develops technical training programs through VIU's Natural Resource Extension Program for communities throughout British Columbia.
Noyon holds professional membership in the Canadian Water Resource Association and contributes to educational curriculum development for the BC Ministry of Education. He additionally serves as a lieutenant in the Gabriola Volunteer Fire Department.
