Mark Lycett is a Professor of Digital Innovation at Royal Holloway, University of London, where he holds the Vice Dean for Research and Innovation role in the School of Business and Management. He also serves as Head of Business Futures for the CoSTAR National Lab, focusing on the integration of emerging technologies to reshape human experiences in physical and virtual spaces.
His research spans the Spatial Web, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented/Virtual Reality, Blockchain, and the Internet of Things, with a strong emphasis on creative industries. Recent publications highlight his work in digital design fictions for metaverse services, digital humans in customer experience, and multisensory VR applications in the arts.
