Mark Lane

Mark Lane serves as a Lecturer at the School of Informatics and Cybersecurity within the Faculty of Computing, Digital and Data at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), where he has taught applied cybersecurity courses since 2011.

His professional focus centers on cybersecurity education and competitive event development, highlighted by co-founding ZeroDays CTF—the world's largest capture-the-flag competition—established in 2015. He actively shapes international cybersecurity talent pipelines through leadership roles including Ireland's representative on the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) Steering Committee, manager of the Irish national ECSC team, and member of the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC) Steering Committee.
