Mark Jarman

Mark Anthony Jarman is a Professor of English at the University of New Brunswick, teaching creative writing and serving as fiction editor for The Fiddlehead journal. An acclaimed author, his works include the hockey novel Salvage King Ya! (listed among 50 Essential Canadian Books) and story collections like Knife Party at the Hotel Europa.

His writing spans fiction, nonfiction, and travel literature, appearing in publications such as Walrus, Canadian Geographic, and The Globe and Mail. Honors include multiple National Magazine Awards, O. Henry Prize nominations, and fellowships at Yaddo. Critic A.S.
