Dr. Mark Greenawalt is the Chair of Applied Music Studies and an Associate Professor of Music at Liberty University's School of Music. He holds a D.M.A. from Shenandoah University, an M.M. from the University of Illinois, and B.M.E. and B.M. degrees from Baldwin-Wallace College. His expertise includes Vocal Pedagogy and the Blaylock Vocal Method, with a focus on singer rehabilitation through his work with Dr. Chris Chang at Fauquier Hospital. He has performed in operas, oratorios, and musical theater across the U.S. and collaborates with guitarist Dr. Michael Brennan.
Dr. Greenawalt previously taught at George Fox University, Portland Community College, and Warner Pacific College, and served as a choral director at Southwest Christian High School and Southwest Bible Church. His teaching spans diverse vocal styles and age groups, with a decade of experience in private studio instruction in Oregon.
