Mark G Lebwohl

Dr. Mark G. Lebwohl is the Dean for Clinical Therapeutics at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and holds the rank of Professor and Chairman Emeritus in the Kimberly and Eric J. Waldman Department of Dermatology. He has been practicing dermatology since 1983 and has held leadership roles in numerous dermatological societies, including President of the American Academy of Dermatology (2015-16). His clinical focus includes psoriasis, skin cancer, and atopic dermatitis.

• Education: MD from Harvard Medical School (1978), residencies in Internal Medicine and Dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Research interests span dermatologic therapeutics, psoriasis management, and cutaneous manifestations of systemic diseases. He has authored/co-authored over 700 publications and edited landmark texts like Treatment of Skin Disease. Dr. Lebwohl is actively involved in clinical trials for novel dermatologic treatments and serves on editorial boards of major journals.
