Mark Denton

Mark Denton is a Senior Lecturer in Quantity Surveying at Sheffield Hallam University's School of Engineering and Built Environment, part of the College of Social Sciences and Arts. With 35 years of industry experience spanning roles as Quantity Surveyor, Project Manager, and Company Director, he brings practical perspective to teaching. His expertise includes alternative building procurement methods and contract management.

Research focuses on improving efficiency in construction project delivery through innovative contractual approaches and supply chain management. His industry collaborations enhance student learning through real-world case studies.

He teaches both full-time and part-time programs, including modules on measurement, cost management, and professional practice.
