About
Dr. Mark Craddock is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), affiliated with the School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences. He holds a PhD from UNSW, completed in 1992 under Professor Tony Dooley. Prior to UTS, he worked at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on Lie symmetry methods, partial differential equations, harmonic analysis, and mathematical finance. He has supervised over a dozen honours students and PhD candidates, including Kelly Lennox (2010) and Lars Hunziker (2011).
Craddock's funded research includes a 2008–2011 ARC grant exploring stochastic boundary functionals in risk management. He teaches advanced mathematics topics such as measure differential equations, stochastic calculus, and harmonic analysis. His work integrates theoretical mathematics with applications in finance and environmental risk management.
Key areas of investigation include fundamental solutions for PDEs, non-convolution integral equations, and Fourier transforms on Lie groups. He has contributed to journals like Boundary Value Problems, Stochastic Processes and their Applications, and Journal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications.
