Marjorie Yankeelov

Marjorie Yankeelov is a Lecturer in the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin, affiliated with the Center for Music and Human Learning since 2016. She teaches courses including 'Piano for Teachers,' 'Fundamentals of Music: Piano,' and 'Double Reed Methods.' Her research focuses on auditory representations and music reading development.

Education: Doctor of Musical Arts (Music Education) from Boston University, Master of Music (Oboe Performance) from University of Cincinnati's College-Conservatory of Music, and Bachelor of Music (Music Education/Oboe Performance) from Belmont University.

Teaching experience spans K-6 general music, private double reed instruction, and university-level courses in oboe, music theory, and music education. As an oboist, she has performed with major ensembles like the Austin Symphony and Nashville Symphony, collaborating with artists such as Wynonna Judd and Trey Anastasio.
