Dr. Amy Selkirk is an Assistant Professor of Double Reeds at the Department of Music, University of South Alabama. She teaches applied oboe and bassoon, woodwind methods, Introduction to Music courses, and coaches woodwind chamber ensembles. Previously, she held adjunct faculty roles at the University of South Florida, William Carey University, and Ocean County College.

Research & Performance: Selkirk maintains an active performance career along the Gulf Coast as principal oboist with the Meridian Symphony Orchestra and Panama City Symphony. She has performed at the International Double Reed Society and North American Saxophone Alliance conferences.

Teaching & Outreach: She oversees a private studio for middle and high school oboe students in Alabama and Mississippi, with pupils achieving All-State placements and concerto competition wins. She also serves as oboe coach for the Mobile Symphony Youth Orchestra.
